3% delivered
As for the Covid-19 prevention cooperation money from Tokyo governement, only 3% is delivered until 21st May. It means that 97% applications are under procedure for a month. The amount is 0.5 million yen, US$4700, per a shop owner.

cherry blossoms gone
Cherry blossoms are a symbol of the spring in Japan.
They also show a time of renewal and the life of nature.
Their life-time is very short, after around two weeks, the blossoms start to fall.
We were not able to appreciate them this spring because we had to stay home. Now, we have their fruits instead.

-71.3% around Tokyo Station
Streets were very quiet around Tokyo Station yesterday, -71.3% compared with that of January 18th to February 14th.
Although Tokyo Governor ask people to promote 80% decrease, above figure was the yesterday result.
People try to avoid flocking the crowded areas, triggering more infections, Japanese buniness people are facing difficulties with remote work style.

5.9% of "positive"
We are now in a state of emergency in Tokyo.
39 Prefectures are going to be released from the sate, but 6 areas including Tokyo are kept to the sate of emergency.
The coronavirus outbreak situation in Tokyo is described as "positive ratio 5.9%".
As the total figure of Japan, confirmed 15976, tested 223667, so the 7%of results are positive.

Through the various news media, we learn that our PCR testing data are so small. It's difficult to find out ways to countermeasure to the outbreak with the weak data.

chrysanthemum
In May of Japan, it usually is buautiful weather. This year is different. So hot. Today it was 39 degree even in Hokkaido, northest place.
In my tiny garden, very tiny place is expressed as "cat's forehead size" in Japanese, yellow chrysanthemums are blooming.

Boy's Festival with carp streamers
May 5th is a holiday called Boy's Festival. We hang up Koinobori or carp streamers to pray for childeren's health.
Koinobori's origin is said fish race in ancient China. The winner was a carp among fishes and it became dragon.
Carp streamers are symbols of family, a father, a mother and children. You can see.
